Partner for the plasterboard industry

Our carton board machine CM 6 produces recycled board for the plasterboard industry and testliner for the corrugated board industry. With an effective width of approx. 530 cm and a capacity of approx. 340,000 t per annum, it is currently the world's largest machine for plasterboard liner.

During the material treatment process, defined types of waste paper are turned into a fibre mixture. Extraneous material and impurities are extracted and the fibres prepared for processing in the carton board machine. In the wet section, three Fourdrinier wires for the topliner, centre ply and backliner ensure that the fibres are optimally distributed and facilitate the manufacture of the low basis weights and colour-coded boards required. A large part of the water from the fibre mixture is subsequently pressed out in the double-nip press section, before the board web reaches the dry section. By using a size press, it is also possible to deliberately adjust the board surface to meet the specific requirements of individual gypsum plants.

At the end of the carton board machine, the large rolls of board (tambours) are re-rolled into the widths required by the customers and packaged as needed. An automatic transport belt conveys the pallets to our warehouse, from where they are dispatched.

A team of quality control personnel monitors the production process continually, and takes samples to check compliance with defined board parameters.
